About Adhocracy Inc.

What is an Adhocracy?

Robert H. Waterman, Jr. (via Wikipedia):

“Any form of organization that cuts across normal bureaucratic lines to capture opportunities, solve problems, and get results.”

Who are we?

ADHC is a corporation made up of mature, experienced players who strive to get the most out of EVE. We have few restrictions and actively encourage all members to participate as much or as little as they like. Furthermore, one need not have any special title to lead an op or any particular “rank” to participate. Our main goal is simply to have fun.

What do we do?

We are primarily a generalist wormhole corp. Living in wormhole space since 2009 and spending the vast majority of our time there running sites, hunting the people running sites, mining and so on. We do our best to balance PvE and PvP. When K links allow, we’re keen to go blitz some sites (or even players) in nulsec or losec, or go push back the Sansha. We also have extensive PI and industry set ups available for use in our space, so if you’re more keen to build ships than blow them up, you won’t go disappointed.

Staying true to our Adhocracy routes, if you wish to spend time on your own, that’s okay. We do not have mandatory play requirements. However, if you do participate in wormholes, you are entitled to take a share of the weekly corp earnings.

 Characteristics of Adhocracy:

  • Highly organic structure
  • Little formalization of behavior
  • A tendency to group the specialists in functional units
  • Low standardization of procedures, because they stifle innovation
  • Roles not clearly defined (in general)
  • Selective decentralization
  • Power-shifts to specialized teams
  • Culture based on democratic and non-bureaucratic work

All members of an organization have the authority to make decisions and to take actions affecting the future of the organization with an absence of hierarchy.
